WHY DO ROOT CANAL TREATMENT(RCT) TAKE 3 VISITS.,?

HOW DO ROOT CANAL TREATMENT TAKE 3 VISITS.

Root canal treatment is the process of removing inflamed or infected pulp tissue from within the tooth

Standard root canal treatment requires 2-3 visits

  • It depends on the  infection of the tooth
  • Root canal treatment is a process used to treat all infections from the root  of the tooth.

  • your first visit works on fixing the pain you probably have, and the tooth is thoroughly cleaned,it is sealed with temporary filling to prevent contamination of saliva and food between appointments.
  • on your second visits, the roots of the tooth are filled with permanent material to prevent re-infection.
  • on  your third visits  permanent crown will be fixed to prevent further infection.

  • Teeth that are extremely infected may take several visits as the infection will need to be controlled for the root canal to be a success.
